Travel Info What's the best place to visit around Seattle (~100miles)? Travel Tips Whatever you do, don't listen to Dimples. I think she is a bit misinformed! There are lots of places to visit around Seattle and within a 100 mile radius. San Juan Islands is a good bet and the ferry ride is beautiful. The drive up from Seattle is nice too. Stop at the Seattle Premium Outlet Malls. If you are going that direction - take Chuckanut Drive up to Bellingham. Beautiful curvy road commanding beautiful views of the water and surrounding. Lots of trees and scenery. http://www.chuckanutdrive.com/ Plus, Bellingham is a fun college town worth a look see, especially the Fairhaven district and Tony's coffee shop! You can also visit the Ocean Beaches. Long Beach is cool. http://www.funbeach.com/ Mt Rainier National Park is a no brainer especially if you love the outdoors. http://www.mount.rainier.national-park.c... How about Leavenworth - a quaint Bavarian Village in the Cascade mountains. Beautiful drive up Hiway 2. http://www.leavenworth.org/index.html... Now, you asked for the BEST place. Tough question but if I were visiting I would have to choose San Juan Islands. You get the ferry ride, beautiful scenery and small town atmosphere. Modified 11 months ago There is a tiny place called Gig harbor, it is beautiful there, and I think some very nice cafe's. Experience Music Project (jimi hendrix), Pike Place Market, Wild Ginger (trendy sushi and asian food), Pacific Place (for shopping), Safeco Park (mariners baseball) and the sports museum, Boeing Museum of Flight right outside Seattle (45 min. away) |
