How do I move from Seattle to Minnesota, in a cheap way??? |
Travel Info I'm traveling to Seattle by the end of this year but my best friend lives in Minnesota and I would love to visit her. The problem is I have limited resources. I want to know if there's like a bus or a train that I could take. What do you suggest? Travel Tips The bus will be hell.....for $350. Go by train...sleep in a very comfortable seat with great bathrooms....bring your own food or eat in the dining car.........beautiful views......for $450 round trip, maybe. GREAT FUN and nice people and service. FAST!!! I went from Memphis to Portland and it was GREAT. I'd actually pay a little more to go from Seattle to Portland and THEN to Minnesota. From Portland you get to go through the Columbia River Gorge ......INCREDIBLE .......then Glacier National Park ........etc .......... http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/contentser... Others Greyhound usually has some pretty cheap fares for bus trips anywhere in the country. It's a long and grueling ride, but definitely cheap. http://www.greyhound.com/home.asp... i agree with TeaSwami You could post an ad on craigslist for a rideshare. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/rid/... hitchhike |
