Other minor cities on the west side include Vancouver, Chehalis and Olympia to the south, Bremerton and Port Angeles to the west and Bellingham to the north. The Cascade mountains divide the western and eastern halves of the state. Spokane is the major city in the eastern half of the state. Other minor cities in the eastern half include Ellensburg, Wenachee, Yakima, the tri-cities (Kennewick, Richland, and Pasco) and Walla-Walla. Source(s): I am a Washington native. Other Travel Tips seattle is in the northwest Some major cities: Western Washington Seattle Olympia (the capital) Tacoma Vancouver Eastern Washington Yakima Spokane Walla-Walla Kennewick Seattle: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/seattle... Washington: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/washington... I'm from Oregon and can help answer questions....just let me know Seattle is the North West part of the state. I grew up in Chehalis and that is about 85 miles south of Seattle so it is considered the South west. Spokane for example is over on the border of Idaho and it is the North East. If you have a chance just search on line for a map of WA state and you will have a much better idea of were things are. Good luck and enjoy the rain. I don't miss it :) Born and raised in WA state resident within the last ten years and family is still there |
