Hotel Recommendation for Seattle?

Travel Info
Going to Seattle in November and would like to stay within walking distance of the main attractions like the Space Needle and such.

This is an anniversary trip, so a nice place in a moderate budget would be best. We would prefer more of a boutique hotel rather than a huge one. Any help is appreciated.

Travel Tips
Wow, there are so many great hotels to choose from! Congratulations on your anniversary - I really hope that you have a wonderful time in Seattle. Now for recommendations...

First and foremost, try the Alexis Hotel. It's on 1st and Madison in downtown Seattle and is within walking distance of Pike Place Market and the main downtown retail shopping district. It's also near a ton of wonderful restaurants - everything from casual cafes and laid-back pubs to upscale dining. You'll also be able to take the Monorail from downtown to the Space Needle and the Pacific Science Center, which is WELL worth a visit. Although the Alexis may be slightly pricey, it is a lovely "boutique" hotel and my guess is that they will have some good discounts for the off-season. On a similar note, you could try Hotel Vintage Park on 5th Street, which I think is run by the same people who run the Alexis. Another beautiful, centrally-located place to stay.

Other ideas include Inn at the Market (it's on Pike or Pine, also great locations downtown) and the Roosevelt Hotel, a true Seattle classic. Definitely look into the Roosevelt. :)

One last thought is the Edgewater Inn. Although it's by no means a botique hotel like the other ones I mentioned, it's in downtown Seattle, close to the piers and the shopping centers, and, well, Frank Zappa wrote a song about it (Mudshark).

You should be able to find at least the first four hotels I mentioned by searching for them online. I hope these suggestions help you a bit - have a lovely vacation!
