What about Seattle??? |
Travel Info if you were to go to Seattle and only have a day or two....what should you not miss seeing???? (it will be summer time). Travel Tips If you're wanting to stay in town, the Underground Tour is a hoot, the EMP, the Pike Street Market, and the Space Needle will be an enjoyable day. There are harbor tours, or you can do a Seattle tour on an amphibious vehicle, the "Ride the Duck" tour based on Lake Union, which is supposed to be the most fun you can have in Seattle with clothes on. At night, you can get a one price/many clubs admission to the bars and music in Pioneer Square (Friday/Saturday nights). There are also tours available of the ball fields, and I think someone else mentioned the original Starbuck's store, if coffee is your thing. And, of course, the Fremont Troll is a must-see. To see the city in all it's glory, go over to West Seattle and stroll along the Elliot Bay waterfront, maybe in the evening, when you can enjoy dinner and a view of the Sound at one of the many restaurants around the point at Alki Beach. If you want to get out of the city a bit, a day trip to either the Paradise or Sunrise sides of Mount Rainier is pretty spectacular. Mt. St. Helens is also a day trip from Seattle, and well worth seeing. If you're lucky, it might burp some steam and ash for you. Or, a ferry ride to the San Juan Islands, with maybe a little whale watching along the way. Friday Harbor on San Juan Island is a favorite. Enjoy! Others u shud go north to vancouver canada I don't know but I leave for Seattle on Tuesday!!! I would see my old boyfriend, who was the love of my life 1975-76. Go on a cruise across the bay Pike Street Market Space Needle Rock & Roll Museum Underground Tour Aquarium Mariner's Game I know that's more than a day or two's worth of stuff, but I love Seattle and there's so much to do! Google Seattle and you'll get more info. Have a great time! I DONT KNOW i was in seattle this month, i think you shouldn't miss going up the "space needle" cause everyone you tell you went to seattle is gonna ask if you went up, plus the view is really nice, you can take some great pictures up there. "pike place market" is also fun to walk through, and you'll get to see the very first starbuck's coffee shop there. the "experience the music project" and "science fiction" museums are other option.. these two are really close to the "space needle" so you can do that in one day with no doubt. if you enjoy shopping you'll enjoy walking around the streets "dowtown", you'll see all kinds of stores one right next to each other or visit "chinatown" to get a view of the representation of many asian nationalities. the city and the weather is beautiful in the summer time, enjoy! |
