Do you love it in seattle? |
Travel Info ive never really been there but something about the weather and the city draws me to it...i really wanna live there when i get older...so my question is if u live there...how much do u love it? Travel Tips I've lived in the Seattle area my whole life. I've been all over this country in 46 states. I would never want to live anywhere but in the northwest. It is so green most of the time with warm summers and mild winters. I love the rain, and it's nowhere as bad as people make it sound. When I lived in Pennsylvania for just one summer, they had more rain there then we do up in Seattle. There are a lot of murky days in the fall and early spring, but it is gorgeous. I love the culture and the open minded people who live there. There are a lot of people here who care about our environment and you can reach almost any type of climate within a couple hours from Seattle from mountains, to deserts, to the ocean, to rain forests. I love Seattle!!!! Others sorry, i don't, but i agree with you. i would like to visit Seattle sometime Seattle is a very proper city, I lived there for 4 years, found everything you could possibly want to do, the country side is beautiful and clean, I guess that's why they call it the Emerald city. The weather is a factor that you learn to get used to. I moved there from Hawaii and it was a big shock. But I will say that when the skies are blue and the air is crisp you cant beat it! Great seafood and wineries, always something to take in. I only lived there for more than 3 years and i miss the city! you can find anything under the sun there-food (including the Starbucks, SBC, and other espresso company you can find! Exotic foods like Thai, Vietnamese, Indian, Persian, Japanese, Chinese, Colonial-of course, etc.), sights , sounds and recreation in and around the Puget sound & Washington Lake. Have you seen Bill Gate's house. Gee... that was huge from where I was in our boat about 2 miles away?. I got used to the weather after 1 year. During cold, rainy season-just think it's holiday season for 10 months except the start of Spring coz the whole backdrop changes from dreary to wet, sunny, chirpy. And this is Seattle, ok? The best time of the year there is Spring and Summer-green everywhere even in downtown Seattle. Summer can be hot and 30% humid. LAstly, amidst the 'jungle' are jobs, jobs, jobs! Microsoft, Boeing, Amazon.com, Dell, Starbucks, Safeco Insurance, etc. Go ahead.... make your day. A DEFINITE DESTINATION FOR YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU! I lived in the Seattle area for many years. Forty-five minutes from the ski slopes, a couple blocks from the lake. It's absolutely beautiful in clear weather, but there's still lots to do in the bad weather. The people are friendly, crime is low. In fact, I had forgotten to close my front door, and at 4 in the morning I woke up to close it. Nothing was disturbed. It's a nice area to live in. Now I've gotten used to the weather here in Mexico. Although if I lived in the States, I would probably live in Seattle. |
