During the long months of gray...?

Considering a move to seattle but want to get an accurate view of the long months of gray since ive only visited during july...wondering if there are days of sun that break up the months of gray or if its pretty consistant grayness?

there are what is commonly called by the locals "sunbreaks". These are rarely whole days during the "rainy season" .... but short breaks, often in small areas at scattered times and places, where the sun breaks through the clouds for anywhere from 10 minutes to a few hours.

There are occassionally a sunny day or so, but hard to predict when or if. Also, the "greyness" varies by area ... the further east you go, the more chance of a bit of sun here and there.
