Distance: 78.20 miles I'm Guessing Seattle or Tukwila is about the halfway point. But this time will depend on if you're heading north or south and at what time of day, such as you do not want to be heading towards Gig Harbor after 1 or 2pm or so, because you will slow down in Seattle (around the UW Exit - 169) and it will remain stop and go throughout pretty much the whole trip. There is a lot of construction going on around the Narrows Bridge. And there are usually accidents either way you go, even it's a sunny day. And if you go towards the north, there will be traffic going across the Narrows Bridge and onto highway 16 and onto I-5. The worst spot is probably around the Tacoma Dome and it may speed up once you pass Puyallup, but it will probably go back to stop and go once you reach Milton/Federal Way. I'd guess the midpoint to be somewhere just south of Seattle, maybe Kent or Federal Way. I'm not sure of the distance, but timing will depend a lot on how much traffic you hit in Seattle & Tacoma. |
