A must to see while in seattle? |
Travel Info A must to see while in seattle? Travel Tips I live in Seattle, and I know it sounds so overrated, but it IS in fact worth it to go to the Space Needle. I mean, come on, it's THE thing to do in Seattle. If you can afford it, once in a lifetime, you should eat at the restaurant at the top of the space needle. It may be one of the most expensive meals of your life, but very good, and the rotating (extremely slowly) room with a view to die for makes it worth it (once.) Some more fun things to do: 1. Pike Place Market 2. If you can't afford the restaurant at the Space Needle, do a restaurant in Pike Place Market - such as a. The Can Can - the show is free! b. The Pink Door c. Matt's in the Market d. Chez Shea 3. If you come in the summer, and have the day to spend: a. take the water taxi from downtown pier across Elliott Bay to Alki/West Seattle. Have lunch at the pier there (fish and chips) then walk or take the free shuttle bus to Alki Beach. If you've been to Hawaii or California or East Hampton, NY, you've seen better beaches, but this is the best of Seattle as far as beaches. Seattle is a friendly, wonderful, beautiful city. My favorite! Have fun. :-) Others The space needle, the underground city, and the market by the ocean oh and eat at Ivars mmmmmmmm thats the best. I loved Seattle. One thing my husband and I LOVED while in Seattle was EMP (Experience Music Project). Even if you aren't hard core into music, it's still really cool! Word of advise though, eat before you go. The food they sell is WAY to expensive and not worth it. Oh, it's right next to the Space Needle (which you should also see). One more thing. Pikes Market on the water front is also a must do. Find some history on it and it's even better. Have a great time! Pike's Place Market..then there's the Space Needle ( I think it's way overrated) Aquarium, Woodland Park Zoo, people watching at Westlake, and just walking the piers is fun.. I would say the Experience Music Project and Pike's Place Market. I took a tour of Safeco Field too, and loved it, but you prob need to be a baseball fan to enjoy it. My sister took me to an unbelievable seafood place, but I can't for the life of me remember the name. Really enjoyed going to a few microbreweries, too. You can order a sampler and try several different homemade beers for a very reasonable price. Have fun! Pike Place Market, the Cascades, the Spaceneedle.
