Which is the better city, St. Louis or Pittsburgh? |
Travel Info Which one is busier, bigger, more diverse? Which is the better college city, I guess? The negative and positive aspects of each please. Travel Tips I would say that St. Louis is probably the better city, as there seems to be a lot going on there. As a college student I would love having the HUGE Forest Park as a place to study when I was stressed out. It has also has a free zoo and some cool museums. The nightlife seems to be underrated, as Laclede's Landing is tight. One of the best features is the sleek, and convenient Metro service, which would be nice to ride after drinking at the bars to avoid cab costs. See : http://www.metrostlouis.org/metrolink/ma... However, one big downside is the HIGH crime rate. I was accosted by some guy with a bottle of whiskey in his hand and gold teeth in his mouth at a metro stop in broad daylight! Although, if you are careful where you go in this city you will prob. be okay, as it extremely segregated between good and bad neighborhoods. Others St. Louis is pretty cool. It's about 3-4 hrs out from Kansas City too. There is a 6 flags theme park nearby and of course the St. Louis arch which is the "gateway to the west" There is lots to do and it's a big city. I think you'd enjoy it for college. Lived in Missouri almost 10 yrs St. Louis a much better city, the Cardinals r great to watch but its also not packed its just right and theres many things to do. St Louis has Pointers Pizza, home of the world's largest delivered pizza, the 28-inch Pointersaurus. St Louis is much larger, and more diverse than Pittsburgh. And St Louis has Washington University. I would pick St Louis. St. Louis has more meth labs. St.Louis and it's surrounding areas is really nice. I lived about 45 miles west of there for 15 years. There is a lot to do. You can order a vacation guide magazine and it shows numerous places to visit. |
