Sheraton Clayton Plaza in St. Louis?

Does anybody know what all is within walking distance to the Sheraton Clayton Plaza in St. Louis? We are thinking about going there and dont' know whether we should rent a car or not. Also how far away is Maryland Heights?

Travel Tips
Get a rental, its way to hot to be walking anywhere. Go to the Arch, the St. Louis city museum (not as boring as it sound at all, its actually a blast), and Forest Park. Enjoy.

Others
There are just a few upscale small store shopping (i.e. antique and home decor stores) within walking distance and a few slightly pricy restaurants in that area. Clayton really doesn't offer too much fun or wallet-friendly activity, it's really more of a professional business district. I suggest renting a car. Within a few minutes' drive you have all the fun downtown and the restaurants on the Hill (Italian area) can offer.
