What is there to do in St.Louis? |
Travel Info I have been saving up for a couple of years to come to STL; and finally I have saved enough, I already know you can visit the Arch and Mississippi river but before I book my flight I was wondering what else is there to do in the Lou? And should I book a one week or two week trip, and when is the best time to come over? Does anyone know if NELLY or ST.LUNATICS will be doing any shows in St.Louis, as I want to try meeting Nelly when I come over to the otha side because I am a big Nelly fan in the UK? Travel Tips There is tons to do in St. Louis. I've lived here my entire life, and I love this place. We have a lot of free activities. Consider taking a trip to Forest Park. There, you'll find the Science Center (a great place to explore!), the St. Louis Zoo (not only is it among the best in the U.S., but it's free!), the Art Museum, the History Museum, and beautiful scenery (there's a new lake with beautiful concrete decor all the way around, complete with bridges and fountains). There are some great restaurants here, such as Tony's (very expensive Italian), Cunetto's, Bill Gianino's, and numerous other great Italian joints, especially in The Hill neighborhood. The University City Loop is a fun place to visit... lots of shops, restaurants, and places to sit and drink good coffee. The Arch is a must when you visit here... it's $10 to ride the tram to the top... the view is breathtaking! St. Louis is an old place... lots of cool architecture. Laclede's Landing on the riverfront still has the old cobblestone streets of old. There are also some clubs down there, such as Mississippi Nights. There's always someone interesting playing good music there. I'm not sure if there are any Nelly shows coming up. Either way... I know you will have a great time here in St. Louis. If you feel a need for some adventure, Six Flags St. Louis has some great rides and killer roller coasters. You can book a one or two week trip, it really doesn't matter. You'll find ways to occupy your time. I think you'll find St. Louis an extremely friendly, welcoming place with enough to do to keep you busy and entertained. I hope this helps... feel free to email me with any questions... I'll probably know the answer! Good luck on your trip. email: taylorpc@gmail.com Others why do you think your a big Nelly?!!!!don't know St Louis sorry cant help you Well, there are casinos in St. Louis, if that's your thing. Also, the Anheuser-Busch brewery offers free tours, and that's always a lot of fun. If you're coming for a couple of weeks, you can visit other cities within easy driving distance as well, like Kansas City or Memphis or Chicago. |
