Downtown overnight parking in St Louis?

My friends and I are going to Visit St Louis in two days for the first time. I will probably stay in downtown but heard hotel parking in downtown St louis is expensive. I wonder if anybody knows the parking situation there?

If you are staying in a nicer hotel like the millenium, adams mark, hilton, etc downtown parking is pricy usually 10-15 per day if they have a parking garage. A few thing about parking at the Casino Queen Casino (a) you are in East St. Louis decide how you feel about that (b) the metrolink does not run 24-7 and (c) there is less parking at the casino because the large parking lot is now owned by Cargill.

Others
If you are staying at the hotel, usually they will give you a parking pass for free parking in their lot. I know for sure that Embassy Suites on Laclede's Landing does this. I'm pretty sure the Hyatt at Union Station also does this. Just be sure to ask the hotel if parking is included when you're making your reservation.

If you are not staying at the hotel and just want to park in their lot overnight, prices are around $6-$12.
its canbe expensive but i always found it easier to park by the casino queen and take the metrolink around its cheaper if you dont mind walking around a bit...you see more that way ;-)
