What is ur impression to taiwan?

Travel Tips
Taiwan is a combination of the new and the old.
All over Taiwan, one is confronted by new, state of the art buildings and very advanced technology. But, as if from nowhere, you find this old little house, walls covered with rice-skin mud and old roof slates. Just around the corner you might find a McDonalds, but next to this little house, they have their own little vegetable garden, which is watered by had, using a long handled bucket, taking water from a small canal.
Or you might find a fancy new plough in a rice land, but next to that rice land, the farmer uses an ox-pulled plough.
The people are just as diverse, in character and religion. In the cities you might find a Christian church across from a Buddhist temple. You might be served with the greatest of care at one of the market stalls, but leaving it, you could be trampled close to death, just to be taken to a hospital by a total stranger, and brought food and clothing during your hospital stay.
What are my impressions? It's a country where the people have a strong sense of "love your neighbor" and "do unto others ...." They care for their own, and take pride in their achievements.
In short, it's a place well worth while to spend some time.
