Travel Info Have anyone been to Taiwan? Was it a beautiful place? can i have some advice? Travel Tips Taiwan has beautiful sides and not so beautiful sides, just like any other place. If you plan to come in the near future, April or May, it will be starting to get warmer. From May it will allready be quite hot and humid, June, July and August will be very hot and humid. If you're not used to extreme humidity then I won't recommend that you come then. A good time after that would be end of November, beginning December. We also have typhoons in summer time. In Taipei you can find many historical places to visit, like the National Palace Museum and the Chaing Kai Shek Memorial. It's easy to get around Taipei, just the MRT. There are also many beautiful National Parks to visit in Taiwan. If you like shopping you won't be dissapointed, Taiwan has many big shopping malls like FE21 and Shin Kong Mitsokoshi. Others I am living in Taiwan right now and Some parts are very beautiful, you just have to know where to look. in Taipei u can't find much but you dont have to venture very far to find amazing places. if u are considering going there do some reasearch first. People in Taiwan are generally very helpful. The only problem that you will encounter is lack of English signs (sometimes, a name of a city can be translated to different ways). Taipei is the capital city where is crowded and air-polluted. If you think yourself as a city person, you'd enjoy the city life in Taipei. The rainy and gloomy season is long, so many people hang out at the tea houses and coffee shops. There are some beatiful places you can visit, such as Peng-hu Island, the east coastal line and the mountains in the middle of Taiwan.
