Can you help me find a bank in Toronto Ontario that will accept US funds and allow me to have a debit card? |
Travel Info I am being transferred there for 2 years and will need to deposit US funds and purchase groceries etc. with Canadian dollars. Travel Tips I believe the Royal Bank of Canada, The Toronto Dominion Bank and the Bank of Nova Scotia all accept certain types of credit and debit cards from other countries. I always pay for everything on a credit card when travelling because you get the very best exachnge rate that way. Others You will not have any problem finding a bank that will accept US funds. They all do. If it's a check (cheque in Canada), they usually hold the funds for 10 days or so before depositing into your account. |
