Travel Tips
I live in Tunisia. The nightlife can be as exciting as you want it to be. During the week, hotel discos are the way to go because they're open 7 nights a week. On the weekends you can find other discos open outside of hotels. There are also movie theaters, shopping, concerts - pretty much what you want, you can find. As for drinking in bars, it is allowed.

Drinking in bars is fine and you usually have the choice between local and imported alcohol.

The nightlife is great and if you in places like Sousse (and hammamet i've heard) there's so much choice, bars, clubs etc. some of which are outside which is great in Summer) and I've always had a great time!

The only time you'll find it difficult to drink is if you go during the holy month of ramadan and then you'll only be able to be served in your hotel
I lived in Tunisia for 3 years, its a wonderful country.
The night life is what ever you would like it to be and the weather is great too.
Hammamet and Monastir are good tourist places, but you should visit the old places too, like Carthage and Matmarta.
If you are Muslim you will not want to drink alcohol anyway, but if you are not Muslim then you can drink in the hotels or bars almost any time of the day or night.
Enjoy your trip.
