Travel Info Can anyone tell me about life in Dubai?Im curious.What are people like there?What are prices, tax like? Travel Tips I used to live in Dubai. Loved it! It's a wonderful place! People are pretty polite there! Mostly there are Arabs there. I lived there for two years, The people are great, Mostily arabs there but you can find many other mixed cultures which makes most the people their interesting and open minded. About prices, Food is cheap but cost of living overall is not cheap, Like Residance is expensive and Trasportation. Its almost tax free for everything that you buy except for some of the imported prouducts they have a 2% tax fee. Dubai is a pricey place to stay, but most people get good deals if they have a job in Dubai. Their companies pay for their rent, airfare, car, etc. And their income is usually tax-free.
