Travel Tips Because everything happens here so fast, that you wake up every day with somehting new to discover!There are new streets built, new hotels coming up, new and huge shopping malls, beachees..and huge amount of crazy ideas coming to life- like building the tallest building in the world in one years time,creating a fully underwater hotel, to create a bubble which will be floating in the sky on a cloads and at the same time will operate as a restaurant. Currently they have finished a Ski resort in the desert (actually located in a shopping mall!) , palm island. DUBAI - It is like "bad ideas turned into a real and good ones". Dubai is the capital of UAE with with no sort of taxes to pay- no matter if you live and work here, or you just try to purchase something. Employment visa to this country you can get withing 2-3 days, which provides you a RESIDENT STATUS for next 5 years! Dubai has a very developed hospitality industry with more then 350 hotels in town, 5 of which are 6-7 star, where people from all around the world stuggle to provide the best service ever. If you work for any company in UAE, you get privilege to receive package of salary, 100% covered health insurance, accomodtion, transport, servce charge, airfare back home, uniform, duty meals. gym facilities etc.- all that free of any taxes or extra payments of some sort. No bills, no extra charges. Dubai is the place where NOT POSSIBLE THINGS BECOME POSSIBLE- thats why perhaps so many people think that it is the best place in the world!!! Others WOW!! I 'm coming to live here soon. Dubai is NOT the best place in the world! I can think of a dozen better place to go, right in the US. Dubai is hot, humid, crowded, the traffic is horrible and most of the people there are generally rude. When I say, "Hot and Humid." I mean 100+F and around 98-99% humidity. Dubai is the money capital of the UAE and it has grown completely out of control. It is a cross between Las Vegas, Orlando, and Detroit. The Muslim laws are VERY strict, don't even get caught drunk in public (6 months to a year in jail), don't run a stop sign (1 year in jail), don't fight (jail until they get to you, both of you) and DO NOT be caught associating with any of the whores. There are more there than Vegas EVER thought about! They are trying so hard to become a vacation hotspot that it is more of an "Arapeon" city instead of an Arabian city. About the only thing to do in Dubai is shop, the ocean is to hot to really enjoy, and if you dress up to go out you will be soaking wet 20 feet from the hotel door, and this is at night time too! Also good luck trying to find a hotel for less than $100 a night, they list them, you book a room and when you get there, there is "extra stuff" attached or THAT room isn't available. Stay home, or get your company to foot the bill. Personal experience. Have been there 6 times on bussiness. mostly because of the shopping experience they say it is the shopping capitol of the world and you can find anything you want. but it is really hot over there and it is mostly a desert I think someting quite interesting happen in dubai every year.
