Staying in Dubai?

I am planning to visit Dubai for an opportunity of work in importing and marketing companies deals in building materials, insulation products, home appliances and health care products. I want to stay in Dubai about 3months at first. Can any one suggest me how to find a contacts for staying in sharing basis.
Further , my budget for rent + electricity is about AED 1500. Can I get a moderately furnished single room + kitchen at this cost.
