St.John recommendations? |
Travel Info Any recommendations for what to do, where to eat, snorkel, hike etcetera in St.John, UVI? Travel Tips I went to St. John for a week in 2004 and LOVED it. We hit Woody's every day for happy hour. Good specials and good bar food. Snorkeling - I saw sting rays and sea turtles in Salt Pond Bay. Cinnamon Bay and Trunk Bay are beautiful beaches but didn't do any snokeling there. I believe there is actually a snorkel trail at Trunk Bay. We were fortunate enough to have 2 all day excursions which took us all over the place. If you have time, I would suggest a trip over Jost Van Dyke to see Foxy's and the Soggy Dollar Bar and to Virgin Gorda and the Baths. St. John itself is very quiet and laid back. I loved it and can't wait to go back!! Others What to do - snorkel, swim, hike, sunbathe, take a day sail. Where - any of the north shore beaches (Trunk, Waterlemon, Francis, Jumbie), in the VI National Park - the Reef Bay Trail, etc. Eating - Cruz Bay has burgers and beer at Woody's to fine dining aplenty (Tage, La Tapa, 10 Tables, Stone Terrace).
